About
The name Mai Thai translates into "Thai Silk", which is seen by some of the weavings on the wall.
Mai Thai first opened its doors for business on May 3, 2007 just after only two weeks of remodeling. Owner Preeda Joynoosaeng saw an opportunity to start a restaurant in the Harvey Oaks Plaza and made his move to buy the location. Unlike his previous family restaurant venture (H & I Thai Café), Mai Thai offers a completely refined menu of recipes that have been in the family as well as original dishes. Each entrée is accented with Thai spices and basil which results in fresh, healthy, and flavorful dishes. With offerings ranging from the widely popular Pad Thai to unique dishes such as "Chicken in the Mud", there is enough variety to satisfy any palate.
